Songwriter Jon Roket is a graduate of the Western College, School of Interdisciplinary Studies at Miami University. He has released two critically acclaimed LPs - bricklayers (AeroCab, 1994) and Pontiac Blue (Sundial, 1997) - and most recently a collection of short stories entitled Kentucky is Wider + Other Short Stories.

In 1998 Jon helped form the San Francisco based August Nelson, Co. which launched the wildly popular PayLars.com website, established OrangeAlley.com for online music distribution, and outlined a new model with the BootLegal™ system.

In 2001 Jon started 3VERB, Inc. to build high-end, completely custom, hand-coded, web applications for specialized small businesses and organizations.

Jon has recorded with Rosavelt, Mike Tittel and Leslie O'Callahan of Pidgin, Roger Klug, and his childhood rock and roll hero, Dan Zanes of the Del Fuegos. He has opened for Willie Wisely, Todd Snider, Peter Wolf of J. Geils fame, Steve Forbert, Mark Curry, Dave Alvin of the Blasters, the Heavy Metal Horns, among others. His poetry & short stories have been published by Near South Magazine, Whiskey Island, Black Spring Press, Abbey, and Carpe Laureate Diem.

Jon's interests include fishing, politics, Logan Square, and minor league baseball.

Jon lives in Chicago with his wife and a small dog.
